It was a quiet night Monday in downtown Greenville. After the crowds, fun, music, food, and beer over the weekend it was nice to have downtown almost to ourselves … Also I want to comment on a disappointing event which occurred during the festival this weekend … There was a fight around 10:30pm Saturday on Main Street. The newspaper article says no one was arrested and no one was hurt. The police responded quickly and broke it up. It appears to me that the police took the incident very seriously and they deserve a special thanks from all of us who love downtown Greenville .

La soirée a été chaude. content que tout cela se soit bien finit.
cela arrive souvent ? quartier chaud de Greenville ?

glad to know no one is hurt. Is it a trend these days, after a few drinks ?

Oliver, no this was not a bad or hot district in Greenville. In fact it is very close to where I live. However this does prove that bad people are mobile and even when you live in a safe neighborhood you should be cautious.
Krisz, no I don’t think this is a trend. Sadly I do think drinking was part of the cause. I really believe people should be able to get along. Personally I think those involved made fools of themselves and should be ashamed. Normally I focus on the positive about my city however I felt I had to mention this disappointing incident because anyone who lives in Greenville might have felt I was being less than truthful had I ignored the issue.

And this without Gretchen Wilson performing at this year’s festival. It’s a shame. I’m with you, Denton, in feeling that the individuals involved behaved foolishly. I had no idea this had even happened since I was at home with the kids before nightfall.

What a weird green tinge, is this just a colour cast or a result of fluorescent lighting. It gives your town centre quite an eerie look. Glad it’s all quiet and peaceful now Denton.

it seems like a nice place to have a stroll at night.
it’s a shame about the incident, apart from that it seems like it was a successful festival.
