October 9, 2006 - Airport art

Art at the airport in Greenville, SC This last weekend we attended a wedding in Dallas. Given the wedding photos are not from Greenville, I am sharing a photo of art at the Greenville airport taken on our return from Dallas. The art is called Three Obulates and was designed in 1990 by Harold Krisel and Carl Tait … Click here to view a sketch from the wedding we attended. The sketch if of the bride along with myself and Connie.

Airports are wonderful venues for works of art. People often have time to stop and look and to think about what they’ve seen. This would speak to my appreciation for color combinations; I would think about color and look at clothing and other displays as I walked on by.

Thanks for your comments.

Annie, until starting my daily photo blog I was like most people and really did not notice such art. It was just in the background. Now I see such scenes as photo opportunities.

Jing, I also liked how the chairs turned out. Especially since they now have my blog address on them.
