How did you manage getting a “two for” shot? I’m impressed.

Great shot, Denton! These “pedal taxis” are in london, too, but they have coveres on them for some reason!!

I’m with the rest of you, give me the open air before air conditioning any day. Great capture Denton!

Excellent! Good timing on this photo I must say. I did not think these pedal taxis would exist in the US. Interesting (I did not know you had that in London aither Ham!)

um..And I noticed the guy who is the “driver” of that pedal taxi wearing a yellow tshirt.
:D
and the taxi in the front is also yellow….is it the requested colour for any taxi there? or a coincidence??
funny~~
and nice shot!

I prefer the one with air-conditioning anytime. haha.. Human Pedal power seems to be quite cruel. haha..

the yellow cab Ford is very American to me. Its interesting that in Europe we prefer smaller cars.
Very nice shot to show the pedal taxi, too:)

Brilliant shot, Denton! The lighting is wonderful, and I can see where I’d like to be. Except, I’d like to be riding in it near the beach!

John, I choose the yellow taxi in front this morning for our trip to the airport. The pedal taxies are more for fun and have a limited area of out 10 blocks.

Valery, thank you. It helps that we choose a theme one month in advance. As a result I watched for taxies all of September.

Norma, the answer is I care a camera at all times. My daughters call me a goober for taking so many photos.

Krisz, yes yellow taxies are the norm in the US. Other colored taxies are available however the norm is yellow.

Ham, the pedal taxies are for fun or maybe romance. We do have a covered tram which is a big plus when it rains.

Eric, my choice is to walk which falls into the open air alternative.

Kaa, thanks.

Kate, thank you.

Jing, yes yellow is the taxi norm. However, I suspect the pedal taxi “driver” t-shirt is a coincidence.

Keropokman, in the heat the air-conditioned alternative would be my choice as well.

Zsolt, you are correct. The US has han an obsession with big cars. But that is changing and smaller has become trendy.

Kim, thank you.

Lovely capture, getting the two different alternatives into the one shot! I had the bike one existed in the US. Is this just a touristy thing? One of the most interesting entries I’ve seen today!

I’m a little late…love your photo, amazing that you got them both together! We have the pedi-taxis too.

thanks for your comments.

Nathalie, yes they are touristy. Not very practical for serious taxi work.
