November 1st is theme day for the Daily Photo family. Given November 1st comes much earlier on the other side of the world from Greenville I am sharing a theme day teaser photo. The subject is something about to disappear. Click on the thumbnail photo to see a larger version. Check back in a few hours to see what is about to disappear at Starbucks in Greenville. Recently I stopped by and took this photo of Springwood Cemetery late at night. I choose to share the photo with you on Halloween. Hopefully your Halloween will be safe and enjoyable … Given we are in a condo complex with locked outer doors I doubt if we have any tricker treaters. As a result we will go for a walk to enjoy all the activity. What are your plans?
Lots of people are in the Halloween spirit today. Take the Halloween World Tour! Over 45 sites are participating.
As part of my walk to work series I am sharing what the ornamental lights look like on the Main Street bridge at 7am in the morning. Interestingly this photo, taken with a shutter exposure of 1/20th of a second, shows the lights well while a second photo, taken with a shutter exposure of 1/4th of a second, shows more detail. I don’t remember which is closer to reality! That may be because my reality shifted based on how dialated my pupil was. One might say my reality was based on if I had just looked at a bright light or not!
My wife made me watch Dancing with the Stars last night. Their talent reminded me of how hopeless I am at dancing. This lead me to remember there was a business on Main Street in Greenville where one can learn to dance … For me, the next step was not dance lessons but instead this photo shared with the world.
Last weekend I walked Greenville’s new multiple purpose path which starts at Linky Stone Park. While there I took this photo of the American Indian statue. Linky Stone Park is a great educational experience for the kids and us adults.
