September 30, 2006 - Theme day teaser photo

Panning photo of a taxi in Greenville, SC October 1st is theme day for the Daily Photo family. Given October 1st comes much earlier on the other side of the world from Greenville I am sharing a theme day teaser photo. It is an attempt at photo panning which came out fairly well. Click on the thumbnail photo to see a larger version. Check back in a few hours to see the taxi related photo Greenville Daily Photo is sharing. That’s funny, I tried panning with my tram shot too… unfortunately the tram simply wasn’t moving fast enough. You did well, congrats.

John, thank you. I have been playing with panning and on occasion I get one right. What I have found is the subject has to be moving fast or my cameras shutter speed has to be slowed down. The work fairly well at twilight or at night.

Krisz, thank you. If taken during the day try using the night setting on your camera.

Jazzy, thank you. I was pleased to share it.
