September 28, 2006 - Footbridge at Swamp Rabbit railroad crossing

« day before | today | day after » Footbridge at low water dam where Swamp Rabbit railroad cross the Reedy River in Greeville, SC Last night Connie and I walked across the footbridge which crosses the Reedy River at the same point where the Swamp Rabbit Railroad crossing existed years ago. The concrete piers, from the rail crossing, are an integral part in the low water dam shown below the footbridge.

Lisi, yes it is romantic. My wife and I try to make time for holding hands and taking long walks.

Curly, thank you. I took several photos of this same scene and chose this to share because I like the angles.

Jing, the green lights are interesting. The city planners have chosen to flood light many of the trees downtown and in several cases to place lights in the trees. This gives a wonderful experience for those of us out for a walk. Although I do worry that we are disrupting the nature roost for the birds.

Sadia, thank you. I may try to take the photo again with slightly faster shutter speed. I would like for the lights on the bridge to be less blurry.
