North Hampton Wines puts on a great wine tasting. Last night’s tasting was called Stupendous California Reds. We tasted seven wines, listened to a great presentation, and met several interesting people including a lady from visiting from Sweden … What is your favorite wine?

Happy belated birthday!
Depends on the food I guess, a rich Chardonnay or a dryer Sauvignon Blanc, a red Merlot or a sweet Muscat to go with my chocolate dessert. Champagne is also good and when I am in Spain I enjoy their cava very much.
Port to go with my cheese.
I’ve done a winecourse a couple of yrs ago and i liked it a lot. Most difficult was to put a name to a taste. Or a smell. Hope you enjoyed your course!

Excellent photo and glasses
I love Opus One, but expensive.
Champagne is also I like, especially Salon and Taittinger.

Macky, at the tasting we discussed the blending techniques used in the production of Opus One given one of the wines were tasting followed a similar approach.
Jessica , absolutely sangria counts. In a similar vain: My wife asked if trunk time from the store to the condo counted as aging.
Dutchie, thanks. Your correct about the descriptions. I understand that despite the flowery descriptions available from the experts that the best one can really do is compare the taste or smell to something else.

I may be French but I very rarely drink wine. And, worse, I must say I love Californian wine!
