September 8, 2006 - Moonlight movies

« day before | today | day after » The moonlight movies as seen from Larkin's on the River in Greenville, SC I took this photo Wednesday night. We dropped our bag chairs off early in front of the movie screen then enjoyed an outstanding meal at Larkin’s on the River. This photo is of the movie screen as seen from Larkin’s. We then enjoyed an outstanding movie. As you can tell it was an outstanding evening.

For us inteh UK, an outside movie screen encapsulates the idea of somewhere exotic….

Andreea, I will be pleased to help bush the buttons from Brussels Daily Photo.

Ham, no way is Greenville exotic. A great place to live but not exotic. However, outside movies are certainly a thing of the past. Greenville and several other cities have brought them back for special events. IMHO they are a smash hit. In a recent movie, “the wedding planner” there was a similar special event outdoor movie in San Francisco.

Hi Denton,

An outdoor movie in the park, how cool! Just got my Greenville new commers guide yesterday and the more I see and learn about Greenville the more excited I’m getting about moving there. It does look like a great place to live.

Hi Denton.

It was good to see you there last night. I’d never seen “Rebel without a Cause”. It was a great setting to see it for the first time.

Your Blog really highlights the advantages of living in downntown Greenville. It sounds very attractive to Val and I. I wonder if we have too much “stuff” to do the same.

IMHO, I think Greenville can be exotic. Exotic is something different or unusual. If I’d spent my whole life in a village in India, Greenville would indeed be exotic to me.

Cheers.

David, I’m pleased your excited about Greenville.

Chuck, I’m pleased you like our blog.  We truly enjoy living in downtown Greenville.  In fact we feel our move to downtown was the best move we have made. However, you are right it is a challenge to downsize. Maybe you will sell enough photos (at http://www.chuckbishopphotography.com ) such that you can afford one of the 3,000 square foot condos as a second home.
