As you can see from this photo the fountain on River Walk is open. This photo was taken yesterday and there were people enjoying River Walk, the fountain, and the stairs.

I think the fountain is going to be a smash hit. I visited the fountain today and took some great photos of children playing in the water spouts. They have a play area were water spouts and music invoke a train. The fountain was placed where the swamp fox railroad crossed the Reedy River many years ago. In addition I think the fountain will be a success because River Falls Park is overflowing with people. As a result the fountain and River Walk will be a natural extension and for foot traffic.
