Today is theme day for the daily photo family. The theme this month is doorways. The painting on the left of the doorway is by a local South Carolina artist who specializes in “Funky Chickens”. Hi Denton, Truly funky! I tried to figure out what the images on the door were and the only thing I could distinguish was the angel in the upper right. Also, I think the “chicken” to the left is actually a stork with a baby! What does it all mean?!! PS: I tried to visit Sequim DP via your link and it lead me back to Greenville.
Funky is the word I thought of when I saw this..and I like the painting by the side, too :)
Is this the artist’s studio or just some of her work? I love fun and funky things!
Hehehe .. yes, it is funky. Good one!
Denton, this is so cool! Great doorway shot,
-Kim
hi, there funky door :)
It is very funky entrance =)
The crazy lines on the wall is what stands out to me.
Hey, I like this funky door too ! :-)
the multi-coloured against the white and black background is beautiful..
I don’t think it is a chicken on the painting though… but it is funky.
I love that there is an artist who speciliazes in “FUNKY CHICKENS!”
Now tomorrow should be a photo of you doing the funky chicken dance!
No criticism of your photo – but I really don’t like this door! It reminds me of Mrs Fennegan’s 3rd grade art project! !
Thanks for all your comments and for visiting.
Sally, I agree the art on the door is childish. However, I personally like the Funky Chicken painting to the left of the door.
Felicia and Rudy, you are correct the painting is of a stork not a chicken. However, it is officially titled Funky Chicken.
Michael, every time I dance it looks like the Funky Chicken.
Thanks everyone.
