Given this blog is about what it’s like to live downtown in Greenville, I thought we would share a photo of the furniture on our condo balcony. We are actually very pleased with the results and we enjoy our time on the balcony. However, transitioning to a 25 square foot balcony was a challenge.

Last night Connie and I walked across the footbridge which crosses the Reedy River at the same point where the Swamp Rabbit Railroad crossing existed years ago. The concrete piers, from the rail crossing, are an integral part in the low water dam shown below the footbridge.

This photo of the Overlook Grill was taken last weekend on the same busy evening as the photo posted yesterday. As the name implies the restaurant overlooks the falls in Falls Park. Also, as the photo shows the outdoor terrace at the Overlook Grill is very popular. What I like most are the lights and rocks.

This last weekend there were lots of people enjoying Falls Park. This is a view from the pedestrian bridge. Recently Greenville opened River Walk, Arts Crossing, and a new fountain. The overflow foot traffic from Falls Park will naturally flow to these new attractions.

As part of the Southern Exposure festival we attended the New Orleans Style Jazz Brunch. Along with hundreds of others we keep the omelette station busy. As good as the omeletees, the momosa, and the music was; my favorite was the beignets from the Spoonbread Restaurant.
