Yesterday evening we flew into the Greenville Spartanburg airport and I took this photo of the pay phones. We have so very few pay phones I Greenville these were the only I could find. I also found it meaningful to catch a traveler on a cell phone when I took the photo.

Payphones are slowly nearing extinction here in the Philippines too with the increasing popularity of cellphone, plus the fact that cell phone costs are falling tremendously! I myself am amazed at even people who don’t have enough to buy food seem to have enough to buy cell phones and cell phone prepaid cards! Can you imagine how the word “necessity” is changing meanings too!
