August 20, 2006 - The “Hall Yes!” store

« day before | today | day after » Support the induction effort for Shoeless Joe at the Hall Yes store in Greenville, SC. Today we share the color lime green and an interesting store. The “Hall Yes!” store is popular in Greenville because we all want our favorite son, Shoeless Joe Jackson, to be allowed into the baseball hall of fame. Check out HallYes.com for more information. Also see my previous Shoeless Joe Jackson post here and here.

Denton, I could get the HallYes link to work, but not the “here” and “here”. Operator error on my part?

Norma, please try again. I found and corrected a mistake I made on one of the links. The first “here” link should present a photo of Shoeless Joe Plaza”. The second “here” link should present my post from August 10th.

Denton, i’m glad you picked this place because it’s an interesting story. The Hall Yes store is also the place to buy your “Greenville Joe’s ” t-shirt. This guy created those t-shirts because he hated the name “Greenville Drive” for our new baseball team. He, like everyone else, wanted the team to be called the “Greenville Joe’s” or “Greenville Green Sox” but as you know, the city named them “The Drive”. Shoeless Joe can’t have his name linked to baseball at all because of the Black Sox incident, so to rebel, this guy created his t-shirts. I have seen them around in Greenville and at the game. Great looking picture… love the color !!!
