How beautiful it makes a downtown area to have so many trees. This is a very inviting scene.

Marie, prior to 1970 Main Street in Greenville was had almost no trees and was designed to facility a lot of cars. As part of the downtown revitalization they “narrowed the street’s four lanes to two and installed free, angled parking, trees, and decorative light fixtures, as well as created parks and plazas throughout downtown.”   The quote comes from http://www.greatergreenville.com/development/dt_rev.asp
