June 5, 2006 - Greenville Country Club

« day before | today | day after » Commerce Club in Greenville, SC at One Liberty Square As part of the wedding planning series the Greenville Country Club is highlighted. A reader has asked that I share photos of the venues to be used at her wedding. So check back weekly for a new photo in the series.

It is my understanding that the wedding receptions will be held at the Greenville Country Club.

Note that as an extension of the wedding preparation series you can see Javanese wedding ritual as posted at the Jakarta Daily Photo blog.

Please let me know how you like the new format. Specifically, is it faster or slower? Also, does the second column (with links) line up properly? Is the font on the type to small? Thanks in advance.

Nice magnolias

I don’t find the new format slow at all and it’s a lot better to see the pictures larger

Love the larger format for the photos — haven’t had time to change ourselves, but will probably do so in the future. Makes a big difference. And the water spray in the photo is very enticing…

Lucy, thanks. I like the larger format for the photos however mostly what I like is using WordPress and my own domain name. I have to pay for the service vs blogger being free. However, I think the response and uptime is better. Also the time I spend posting has reduced … WordPress has a free service as well and I suspect it suffers from the same overload problems which blogger faces.

Nicolas, thank you. Yes I switched templates and I switched to WordPress. I think I remember your playing with WordPress as well. So far I am very pleased.

Dad - please share with me specifics on WordPress. Is it software specific to bloggers or for web design? Great pictures as always.

Lorena, I hope you are enjoying your travels and not working to hard. WordPress is specific for blogging. It does support additional none blog pages however for general web design there are more appropriate tools. However, for blogging I am please with WordPress.
