For our local Greenville readers I have some advice: Look up the next time you eat at the Sophisticated Palate. You will be treated to the owners art on the ceiling tiles. We eat their regularly and I just noticed the art recently.
As part of the wedding planning series the Holiday Inn Express is highlighted. A reader has asked that I share photos of the venues to be used at her wedding. So check back weekly for a new photo in the series. Holiday Inn Express is located on Main Street in downtown Greenville a short distance from the Wyche Pavilion often used for wedding receptions.
The Greenville News sponsored Shagging on Augusta Saturday evening. We had a great time along with several 1000 others who danced the night away. The couples in blue and pink rarely left the dance floor. A little web research verified that the General Assembly by Act No. 329, 1984, designated the Shag as the official dance of the State of South Carolina. Note that as a clarification the couple in pink are dancing the shag while the couple in blue were not dancing the shag. However, they were having a great time and putting on a show for my camera.
Last Friday the Jazz Guardian’s played at the weekly Friday jazz concert held at the Hyatt plaza. Check out Greenville Events for the full schedule of jazz concerts and other events as well.
