Our daughter and son-in-law adopted Lucy six weeks ago. So this is Lucy’s first Christmas with her new family. Lucy was comfortable with the package wrapping and all the excitement as we opened presents.
Our cats, Click & Clack, were not pleased that Lucy joined us for Christmas. As you can see they found the highest place in our condo. Click here for another photo of our cats and the view they have from our fourth floor condo in downtown Greenville.

This year we choose an electronic Christmas Tree. We placed a monitor on a stand and present a slide show of the 65 trees from the Festival of Trees. Connie was exhausted by the time I took the 65th photo. Our kids are grown so we don’t expect to many complaints.
The photo on the right is my favorite tree from the Festival of Trees. It is my favorite not only because it was sponsored by Budweiser but because of the color choices. We feel the idea saves on space and we don’t have to store the decorations.
These photos were taken on Howe Street which runs between Falls Park and the Governor’s School for the Arts. Click here to visit the Governor’s School for the Arts web site.
Howe Street also runs next the Cancer Survivors Park as well. Click here to visit the Cancer Survivors Park web site Click here for a Google map showing the location of Howe Street. At lunch; I often walk through Falls Park, take Howe Street to University Street, then to Augusta Street, then on Main Street to Camperdown Way. It is a nice stroll with some great views.
This photo was taken from the terrace on the Hyatt Regency. Click here to see a Google map showing where this building is located.
This last Saturday we went to the Centre Stage production called “Rocking the Holidays”. The performance was outstanding. Click here to see a Google map showing where this building is located. Centre Stage is located in the Smith Barney building on River Street.
The Centre Stage web is Centre Stage of South Carolina Centre Stage if a non profit community theater which we feel enriches the cultural life of Greenville.
These photos show the view from River Place. The advertising states: “River Place is a $65-million, mixed use, three-phase project. The largest single development in downtown history”. For more information click on the following link. The Terrace at Riverplace Note that these photos were taken across the street from the photo posted yesterday showing colorful Historic West End.
These photos are of number 7 West Camperdown Way. I took them because of the colors and the unique number on the door. Click here to see a Google map showing where this building is located. The photo on the left shows that the building is green all the way around. Also it shows the window frames painted purple. The Historic West End is next to Falls Park on the Reedy River. It is also on South Main Street a short distance from where our condo is. The West End is the home to several great restaurants and some outstanding art galleries.
