We ate recently at Subway and I thought I would share a photo showing their sign. In reality I wanted to share today’s photo so it could be compared to this previous photo … I like the previous photo best.

The Saturday Market is a great way to start the weekend.

Local readers you may want to consider placing December 6th on your schedule when they hold their Holiday Festival. Their website says: “Stock up on seasonal produce, find the perfect holiday gift or just bring the children for a family photo with Santa Claus”.

November 20, 2008 - Early morning sun on a cold day in Greenville

Early morning sun in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 11/20/2008.
I took this photo during my morning walk to work yesterday. Because cold weather has arrived my motivation was warmth, as a result I was walking in the sun as much as I could. I liked the shadows and the light so I stopped for a photo … The cold weather makes me appreciate photo bloggers from colder climates. I really wanted to keep my hands in my pockets.

November 19, 2008 - Chicora Alley in Greenville’s Historic West End

The Chicora Alley sign in the Historic West End of Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 11/19/2008.
Connie and I eat at Chicora Alley regularly so today I’m sharing a photo of their sign … Notice the arrow pointing up. That is because Chicora Alley is a second story business and it would be a shame if you missed it … We normally order a bottle of wine, then spit split an appetizer, a hamburger, and sweet potato fries … It is a great restaurant, with good services, and an interesting atmosphere.

PS: Note that the Daily Photo Map now presents thumbnails as a 3D wall of photos. Each participant’s archives can be viewed in this fashion as well. Just click on gallery links. To see the full effect you will need to install the Cool Iris browser add-on.

November 18, 2008 - No leaves

No leaves on the tree outside my condo complex in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 11/18/2008.
I have posted so many photos lately showing Fall colors I thought I should share a photo with no leaves (smile). Actually there are many trees which still retain their leaves so more color is yet to be shown … Today’s photo shows a tree outside our condo with the Smith Barney building and the Court Street condos in the background.

On a separate note: Recently I spent some time enabling Cool Iris 3D slide shows on the Daily Photo Map. This browser add-on is a very powerful tool to view post by Daily Photo Map participants. You view all the photos, posted in the last 24 hous, on one page in an exciting 3D flash presentation. You can click on a thumbnail to see a larger view of the photo or you can easily click through to visit the publishing photo blog.

Best of all is that when you click on a map marker the latest thumbnail is shown. You can then click on the gallery link by the latest thumbnail and a 3D wall of photos will appear showing up to a year of photos from that participant. Effectively their archives are brought to life in a very quick and exciting presentation … let me know what you think.

November 17, 2008 - Art Crossing at RiverPlace

Art Crossing at RiverPlace in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 11/17/2008.
The Who Among Us reception was held Sunday afternoon at the Greenville Tech college Riverworks Gallery (map location). The gallery is in Art Crossing at RiverPlace so today I’m sharing a photo of the location … Connie and I visited our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson this weekend. It was a great weekend so I’m sharing a link to a photo showing myself enjoying a glass of wine, reading a book, being watched by the family dog, and holding my grandson. A weekend does not get much better than this.

November 16, 2008 - Fall colors at Number 2 Liberty Square

Fall colors at Number 2 Liberty Square in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 11/16/2008.
On Saturday; it rained and the wind blew, then the clouds cleared and blue skies served as background to highlight the Fall colors. The mirror glass on Number 2 Liberty Square (map location) also added to the blue background. The leaves have fallen off many of the trees however there are still some verities putting on a show.
